Tuesday Duel Day

Good afternoon,

Well, let's start with yesterday, shall we?

Yesterday I was out planning this and that, so Mrs MacDonald was at the con for a spot of maths...

...a touch of reading...

...and general shenanigans.

As for today, well, we also did a spot of reading...

(I would have posted another picture of the children at their reading activities...but someone was picking their nose! :-))

After lunch we joined Room 11 for a spot of non spot cricket.

And a good time was had by all!

Funday Friday

Good afternoon,

It's been a bit of a rushed old day here today.

We had an Easter Hat judging...

We fitted in (fat in?) some Poetry...

...had a rushed trip to the library before an early Assembly...

...so that we could spend some of the afternoon outside watching the Hoon Hay/OLA cricket game.

Bye for now...

...Mr Grant.

Sample Thursday

Good afternoon,

Well, it's almost time to send the Sample Books back home (tomorrow, in point of fact), so...we had some catching up to do today!

Firstly, a wee maths sample, where the children drew an outline of their [non writing] hand and estimated and measured its height and breadth.

...and then, after reading...

...we completed an R.E. sample, where the children, after a class discussion...

...the children drew Jesus, and wrote at least three things that they know about Him.

I was impressed with that they retained of their Jesus strand learning.

Tomorrow is mufti (gold coin donation please - for Jose), and...we...silly hat day! Neither of which is compulsory.

And a good time will be had by all.

Oh, and I've uploaded the photos from the missing iPad from yesterday's trip to the museum.

Our Trip to the Air Force Museum

Good afternoon,

This morning started off fairly routinely, with some measurement for Maths...

...where upon the children measured outlines of themselves.

We also did some reading.

But let's face it, the big deal of the day was our trip to the Air Force Museum.

Very, very many thanks to Ali, Cynthia, Jenny, Jo, Kirsty, Rachel and Selma for taking the children thither and yon - and for doing the scavenger hunt with them.
