...and the photo is...
...out of the ordinary, as one child's reading folder got caught up in another child's hair!
As for the rest of the day...'twas all good!
Have a great weekend,
Mr Grant
(And don't forget the points are still up for grabs from last night's question!)

Creative Thursday
Good afternoon,
I left my phone at home today (I was at a loss all day!), but thankfully the day carried on regardless!
Indeed, the children got ever so creative. Parakaraka recreated a scene from their book The Silly Squealing Pigs...
...whilst, and at the same time, Kahurangi storyboarded their own story Why Cats Wash After Dinner.
:-)
Oh, and just before that we did this.
Have a nice evening,
Mr Grant

Flight or Fright Wednesday
Good afternoon,
(Sorry I couldn't get everyone in, I was using the panorama feature on my phone. So I could only go across, not up and across.)
This morning for reading, as well as a story for Kahurangi Reading Group that involved a few garden creatures...
...Ma read a poem about a garden monster...
...and then designed some of their own.
After lunch we had our first Church lesson...
...before reviewing the forces involved in flight.
Ka kite ano,
Mr Grant

Almost Tuesday
Good afternoon,
We almost had all of the children here all day today. Well, actually, we did...for perhaps half of it!
Ah well. I hope you two feel better soon.
We kicked off the day (with a full compliment of children, and...) with some meditations...
(It was good to see the children make connections with their prior learning to further their understanding of these scriptures)
...then, during Maths, while I was working with a group towards the end of our lesson, the rest of the class occupied themselves with maths related activities.
Not to be gender steriotypical or anything, but...err...
After some reading...
(Yay! Parakaraka are now onto Orange level texts!)
...and since it was wet outside during our scheduled P.E. time after Rutherford team singing...some of us played knee soccer, while others practiced other Key Competency skills.
And a good time was had by all. Well, mostly all.
Bye for now,
Mr Grant

Pigeon Monday
Good afternoon,
Well, for the first time...ever?...we had all 27 onboard this morning.
Which meant, after reading...
(I was going to green screen this, but...putting in the individual pages in the right spot is really hard!)
...we were all here to witness the pigeons!
Thanks for bringing them in!

Fun Day Friday
Good afternoon,
Not much to report really. The children went to Room 11 for some Flight Science this morning, then, after a bit of down time before morning tea...
...before an R.E. assessment!
This afternoon you would have received a link to a Google form for volunteers for our trip to the airport in Week 7 - the morning of Thursday, the 3rd of September. Please fill it out if you have not done so.
Have a great weekend,
Mr Grant
Oh, and please look at our videos from yesterday - they took ages to post!
Oh, and also, the sample and numeracy assessment books that went home today - can you please send them back to school on Monday.
Thanks.
