Values Monday

Good afternoon,

This morning kicked off with a new morning prayer...

...which we will incorporate into our morning routine.

After morning tea we had a really cool Values Assembly...

...where the whole school, and then Room 2, discussed how to be kind, both at home and at school.

Which will explain the certificates/agreements in some of the children's reading folders this evening. (The ones relating to how to be kind at school stayed at school.)

After lunch we started the first of our Maori lessons. Specifically, a bit of Te Reo. The aim is that the children will be able to hold a very basic conversation in Maori.

Some of which the children knew, some of which, to them, was new.

We'll keep going over it...for the rest of the year, really. Then we finished off with a new end of the day prayer.

Thank you PTA for the new toilet block upgrades, the children are most appreciative!
