Sun Day Tuesday

Good afternoon,

And a lovely afternoon it has been too. In fact, the weather's been quite nice all day...

I left my phone at work last night, and the charger at home this morning, so you'll just have to trust me when I say we had a good day!

Anyhow, we had a good wee meditation this morning...

...and one thing I did manage to capture...Ma reading Kai Uma.

Also, a couple of the children occupied themselves thusly...

:-)

Bye for now, and enjoy the evening,

Mr Grant

Thunderous Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Another fun old day was had here today...though we were three down first thing this morning, with another going home before lunch, so...five away by the end of the day tomorrow??

Anyway, this morning we had a particularly deep scripture to meditate upon...

...which prompted some great questions and quite deep thinking!

(How do you explain to children that unregenerate [adult] human nature is at enmity to God (Romans 8:7), and yet God still died for, well, his enemies?! Opps, I think I may have overreached a bit this morning ...but at least they all understand that God loves them to pieces and pieces and pieces and pieces!)

Then, after a spot of fitness...

...and reading...

(I was particularly pleased them on task with either reading games, making (a noisy house, no less) or buddy reading)

...Ma reading group shared a poem from their Junior Journal - Thunder.

The day finished off with some singing, throwing and running, so I can fairly confidently say that a good time was had by all!

Fine Day, Sick Day Wednesday

Good afternoon,

Another day down in numbers today. 11 down, if the roll is to be believed.

Still, the few of us that were left (!) carried on like the Kiwi battlers we are...

First with some maths...

...fitness...where four taggers and eleven runners = a lot of unflushed toilets for toilet tag!!

Then some reading...

...where what remained of Ma Reading Group read Uira in Maori.

Well done that man!!

Kahurangi were also busy recreating the ghost from The Ghost and the Sausage.

I wonder how many we'll have tomorrow?

Mr Grant

Oh, and this.

Riddle Me Tuesday

Good evening,

This morning, after some meditation...

...and a bit of fitness...

...we had a big book lesson looking at blends.

Then Parakaraka Reading Group regaled us with Hairy Bear.

Which I'll try to green screen later.

Seven ill today, perhaps we'll only have six missing in the morning!

Mr Grant

Oh, and I was supposed to post this last night...

Sickie Monday

Good afternoon,

Well...we didn't have nearly as many here at school today as we usually do...

...because we've got 8 sickies!

Poor wee poppets!

So...we'll have to see who's here in the morning!

Thoroughly Thursday

Good afternoon,

And such a fine afternoon it has turned out to be too.

Man it was cold this morning!!

Anyhow...after our Thursday morning meditations...

...we fitness-ed.

And our day carried on. We even integrated a little Maori into our Big Book session.
...as well as some hangman.

Have a nice evening,

Mr Grant

Tuesday Funday

'Cause it was a bit fun!

Good afternoon,

Today, as is our want on a Tuesday, we started with a wee meditation...

...before carrying on with the rest of our day. Specifically, a touch of maths...

...some Reading...

(those are Wellington cable cars...but we've run out of boxes!)

...interspersed with a fair amount of outdoor activity.

That, as well as throwing a bit of Rutherford Team singing into the mix, and, well...

A good time was had by all! :-)

Mr Grant
