No News Thursday

Good evening,

Nothing much to report about today really. We did...stuff...the day was a bit of a blur, as it often is...and then it ended.

We did do an R.E. assessment, which they all did really well at...

Wednesday's Wednesday

Good evening,

Not an awful lot to report really. We had a Wednesday.

Some maths assessments, some spelling assessments, a big book lesson...

...as well as various reading activities.

So...overall...a Wednesday was had by all.

Laid Back Tuesday

Good afternoon,

This morning was particularly laid back - 18 of the 26 were out at Kapa Haka from Maths to Morning Tea.

So, well...I got some assessments done, the remainder got some digital numeracy practice...

...and a couple even helped Nikki with counting the soap money!

Thanks again for the cutlass Nikki, it makes a great template.

After a bit of fitness with R12 before lunch...

...and some R.E. this afternoon...

...we then popped outside for some P.E.

And a good time was had by all.

'Twas a bit chilly this today. A bit chilly indeed. Didn't stop me sending Kirsty and Whero down the road to illustrate their book this morning!

Absent Friday...

...not that I was actually absent, but, well...

Good evening,

Seeing as I was out of the room writing report comments today...I was able to pop in and out as I pleased!

Room 5 invited Room 2 over for prayers first thing...

Hmmm, looks like we'll have to go over this one a few times before we invite Room 5 over to us!


And the day carried on.

There's even a wee video somewhere, sitting on one of the iPads. When I find it, I'll share it with you.

iPad Thursday

Good afternoon,

And another lovely afternoon it is. Quite lovely.

Anyhow, today the iPads got quite a workout. They were used for maths...

...for Reading, where Kahurangi, and some extras, went outside to act out No More Cakes...


...and some used them for R.E. this afternoon, as we were drawing symbols of the Holy Spirit.

I'm not in the Room tomorrow, though I will be at school, so...have a nice evening.

The camera didn't get out much at all today...well, actually it did, 'twas my phone that stayed away - the charger disconnected overnight, so...anyway, I did at least manage to capture two of the reading groups sharing with us at the end of reading.

Frantic Friday

Good afternoon,

Today was a touch frantic, from a teacher's perspective...though I think the children quite enjoyed themselves!

So much so that these were the only shots I took all day...

...of our weekly visit to the library.

Thank you to those who were able to join us for assembly, it was great to see such a large turn out. Sorry for the rush of it all, we didn't really have time to practice with the mic in the hall...and I thought the data projector remote was missing, right up until someone pointed out that it was right there in front of me!
