Fun Day Tuesday

Good afternoon,

A rather fun day was had here in Room 2 today. After a morning meditation...

...we continued with our shape poems...
























...then with some reading based creative activities...

...and then, after lunch (sans Yrs 3 to 8, which made for a much quieter and, let's face it, more relaxed lunchtime!)...P.E.

Teddy Monday

Good afternoon,

This morning, as well as carrying on with our Numeracy learning, Room 2 began learning how to produce a shape poem.

After lunch R2 headed off to R1 for Christmas Craft, whilst I hosted R3.

And a good time was had by all.

I forgot to mention in the Room 2 Newsletter for Term 4, Week 9 that on Wednesday the seniors are running a mini fair from 2:30 to 3:30 - parents will be able to check it out before the hordes of children get released at 3! Please send your children to school on Wednesday with some coins to spend. All proceeds go to Jose.

Oh, and speaking of errors - prize giving Monday next week will start at 6, not 6:30 as I had written in the newsletter, so please have the children there at Cashmere by 5:45.

Good afternoon,

Another day, another, well, day really.

We kicked off with the Gospel...

...a bit of Maths...

...some poetry...

...and reading.

Sort of. Big Book, but no little books. Well, actually, very many little books, but the children sorted them out into colour wheel colours, then copies of the same book, so they can be put away for the end of the year. So...no more instructional reading 'till 2016!

The children do seem to be enjoying our Christmas Craft activities, however. They're off to Room 11 in the morning, then Room 1 on Monday.

Hot Day Wednesday

Good afternoon,

And a glorious afternoon it is!

This morning, after a bit of poetry...

...the results of which are now hanging up in the room, we had the third of our four badminton lessons.

Then it was off to Room 3 for some Christmas craft.

And a good time was had by all.

Monday Monday...

Good afternoon,

Well, another week into it.

The Diamonds were coming to grips with how to make tidy numbers and add the rest to solve addition problems...

...we were all coming to grips with a new way of using adjectives and verbs...

...and the morning was rounded out by coming to grips with a new big book...

...and some other reading based activities.

After lunch...

...we started some Christmas craft.

Evidence of which should, by rights, be found in their reading folders tonight.
