First Day Friday

Good afternoon,

Today was our first Friday together. We attended Mass, had a visit from Father, had our first poetry session...

...and even a bit of art!

We finished off our morning with another visit to the library...

...our second this week!

All in all I think we've had quite a successful first full week.

Good evening

Sorry, I forgot to take photos, but I do have evidence of their learning, courtesy of the IWB.

We had a vocabulary mini lesson as part of our big book instruction...

...and this afternoon for R.E. we consolidated our learning about the Eucharist...

...before a very brief discussion about the nature of the internet.

And a good time was had by all.

Please remember to send your children in their formal uniform tomorrow morning for Mass.

Unleavened Wednesday

Good afternoon,

Well, the big event for today, over and above maths...

...fitness...

...or even reading...

...was baking bread as part of our R.E. Eucharist lesson.

It turned out quite nicely.

Very many thanks to Cynthia, Hazel, Todd, Mason and Harry for their help this afternoon, it was very much appreciated.

Fine Day Tuesday

Good afternoon,

Another fine day was had here today in Room 2.

We continued practising our routines, such as Big Book instruction...

...and Photo Book creation...

...which we will complete tomorrow.

We also popped outside for a touch of small ball skills...

...for P.E. in the afternoon.

Thanks to those who were able to make it for the 3:15 Meet the Teacher meeting, I hope to see a few more for this evening's meeting @6.

Bugs For Monday

Good evening,

Today, as well as starting a new Topic topic...

...and trying out some independent maths activities...

...we also continued practising how to retell reading texts through freeze frames and photographs.

One group still have to work on their photography.

But that's ok, that's why we're practising.

Sorry that I didn't add text to them all, but, well...I've got a presentation to mark up for you all for tomorrow's meet the teacher meetings.

Oh, and speaking of further on in the week, I was wondering if I could get some help baking bread on Wednesday afternoon for R.E.
