Fun Day Friday

Good afternoon,

And a lovely afternoon it is too.

We kicked off today with a bit of poetry...

...which I tried to green screen, but the green screened clip ended up all over their jerseys...and some faces! I think the screen needs to take up a bigger part of the picture.

(And yes, I did double check that plural...)

We also visited the library with Room 6.

And a good time was had by all.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Grant

Video Thursday

Good afternoon,

As well as being the venue for the OLA Week 4 Newscast...

(put together by the media team - I was just looking on! He he, I taught those Year 7s above as Year 1s in 2009!)

...Room 2 was a hive of such activities as writing...

...reading...

(with which I'll experiment with the green screen later this evening)

...and what could be described as Liturgical Dance!

See you tonight at the Family Fun night,

Mr Grant

Oh, and this just in...

Good afternoon,

Today started with some maths assessments, just so I can get a clearer idea of what the children already know and where to next, some writing...

...some reading...

...a review of yesterday's Gospel reading and homilie...

...and a wee discussion about 'net etiquette.

Have a nice evening,

Mr Grant

Thursday's Wednesday

Good afternoon,

Seeing as I was a little rushed last night, what with one thing and the other, I was unable to post our doings last night. So...here's what Room 2 got up to yesterday!

Well, we did a bit of fitness...

(much like we did today)

...and read a bit more of Brave Mama Puss.

As indeed we did today.

Though today's R.E. lesson left me in far less confusion than yesterdays. We learnt that...

...the alter and the lectern are also called the Table of the Eucharist and the Table of the Word respectively.

We also learnt the appropriate response to the Gospel reading...

...and why we cross ourselves on the forehead, lips and heart while doing so. To symbolise that we are thinking about the Gospel, talking about the Gospel and love the Gospel. I have often wondered about that, not coming from a Catholic background myself.

Have a lovely evening,

Mr Grant

No Post Wednesday

Good afternoon,

Sorry, no post today - I'm already running late for a choir meeting and...

Monday's Monday

Good evening,

This afternoon, after a bit of D.E.A.R. - Drop Everything And Read...

...where we got up to (and beyond) the point where the seagull was looking quizzically at Mama Puss and the kittens outside the hardware shop - we had a brief discussion about Ash Wednesday...

...and re-enacted the event that Ash Wednesday is commemorating.

Please remember to send your children to school on Wednesday in their formal uniform for our Ash Wednesday Mass at 9:15.
