Night Night Galoop

Awww! Night night Galoop.

Measure This Tuesday

Good afternoon,

This morning we traced around our teddies and, well, measured different aspects thereof.

Since we've drawn outlines of our teddies, the children don't need to bring their toys back to school tomorrow. We'll measure the outlines instead.

We also did a touch of reading...

...including Ma Reading Group converting their text for this morning into a wee play.

Right, tomorrow.

Please ensure your children come to school in their P.E. gear (which they'll stay in all day - no need for the formal uniform tomorrow), with their booster seat and a water bottle.

I'll call them in early from lunch so we can get ready to leave soon after 1:30.

There are still a few return slips outstanding, please bring them back in the morning.

Thanks,

Mr Grant

Teddy Monday

Good afternoon,

This morning we brought in our teddies (most of us) for a bit of comparative measurement.

...which we will continue with tomorrow. Please bring your teddies back!

We also did a bit of reading...

After lunch we went over to Room 6 to share the origins of WW1...

Why New Zealanders Were At Gallipoli Fighting the Turks for the British

...and also talked about our trip to the Air Force Museum on Wednesday, which was initially inspired by the Sopwith Pup hanging upstairs...

...but will actually focus on the Canterbury Stories exhibit just above the entrance hall.

Speaking of the trip, please fill out and return the slip that was handed out this afternoon, and bring along (and leave) your child's car booster seat on Wednesday morning.

Thanks,

Mr Grant

Good afternoon,

Well, if that was Week 7, we've had it.

This morning we started with a lovely wee Mass to give out bibles to families new to the school...sorta. Instead of giving bibles out to the Year 8s as they leave, we're now giving them to the Year 1s as they start. Including four of ours.

Aww!

After Mass, a touch of poetry...

...and...some other stuff...

Oh, by the way, I found this...

...from fitness yesterday.

Have a great weekend,

Mr Grant

No Photos Thursday

Good afternoon,

Not much to report really. I forgot to take out the camera. We did a spot of R.E. and sorted out who's doing what for the retell of the events that lead to New Zealanders fighting Turks at Gallipoli for the British...

Why New Zealanders Were At Gallipoli Fighting the Turks for the British

...that I'm hoping that we can share with Room 6 on Monday.

Please note: full uniform for Mass in the morning,

Mr Grant
